I got the impression that this is not formal field service but informally seeing someone wearing a mask and commending her for that.

No, we do not. Resigning, or disassociating oneself, is different from becoming weak in faith. Often, those who for a time slow down or stop in their worship have not abandoned their faith but are suffering from discouragement. Rather than shunning such ones, we try to give them consolation and support. (1 Thessalonians 5:14; Jude 22) If the person wants help, congregation elders take the lead in providing spiritual assistance.—Galatians 6:1; 1 Peter 5:1-3.

Yes. A person can resign from our organization in two ways:
By formal request. Either orally or in writing, a person can state his decision that he no longer wants to be known as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
By action. A person can take an action that places him outside our worldwide brotherhood. (1 Peter 5:9) For example, he might join another religion and make known his intention to remain part of it.—1 John 2:19.
However, the elders are not authorized to coerce or pressure someone to remain as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Each person makes his own choice regarding religion. (Joshua 24:15) We believe that those who worship God must do so willingly, from the heart.—Psalm 110:3; Matthew 22:37.
There is one thing missing in this article. They leave out the part where the Elders write a brief summary, sign it and send in a form (S-77). The Elders make an announcement the congregation that, '' --------- is no longer a Jehovah's Witness. Now, you join a group of ''apostates,'' where you will be shunned.

As soon as possible after the hearing, a brief summary of the case should be prepared and signed by the committee and the Notification of Disfellowshipping or Disassociation (S-77) form should be filled out and submitted to the Service Department. 5. The coordinator of the body of elders should approve the announcement before an elder reads it to the congregation. It should read as follows: “[Name of person] is no longer one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.”
6. Since disassociation is an action taken by the publisher rather
than the committee, there is no arrangement for an appeal. Therefore, the announcement of disassociation can be made at the

It's amazing what you find out when you research and take off the rose-colored glasses of the Watchtower Society teachings. If you really dig deep and really research the Bible, you will find it just made up stories to make the Jewish people stand out from people that lived in their generations.

This article is very ambiguous! Jehovah does not burden us with rules about dress and grooming. Witnesses have free will when it comes to dress and grooming.
The photo above shows a ''worldly'' woman who is dressed business attire and two sisters who are shown in field service dressed in skirts below the knee. Let me guess which type of dress Jehovah prefers?
Also, Jehovah has the standards ( not the Watchtower Society ) that woman should not wear slacks in field service and congregation meetings, where winters are brutal.

Jehovah’s Witnesses have always said that they are different from other religions by virtue of the fact that they don’t pass a collection plate and they don’t hound their members for money.
Oh really?
On tv.jw.org, take a look at the May 2014 JW Broadcasting program, featuring governing body member Stephen Lett.
He tells the sheep, straight out: “We need to increase our finances.”
Then, somewhere around 21:00 minutes, he gets into some classic watchower DoubleSpeak. Follow along on the video if you can tolerate listening to him talk. Here are the relevant snippets of what he says:
“We also have heard from Circuit Overseers and others that some of the brothers and sisters may have a misconception about some of the recent policy changes that have been instituted. For example, all congregations that had a Kingdom Hall or Assembly Hall loan to pay off were informed that their mortgages were cancelled. Now if you think about that it’s amazing, isn’t it? All their loans were cancelled. Can you imagine a bank telling homeowners that all their loans were cancelled and that they should merely send into the bank each month whatever they can afford? Only in Jehovah’s organization could such a thing happen!”
He uses the word “cancel” three times. The congregations loans were CANCELLED. Let’s go to the dictionary.

Ok, so we have our definition of the word “cancel.” According to the dictionary, when Stevie Lett said “all loans were cancelled,” he must have meant “all loans were closed, all debts were paid, all balances were zeroed.
But… but… in his very next sentence, he says:
Can you imagine a bank telling homeowners that all their loans were cancelled and that they should merely send into the bank each month whatever they can afford? Only in Jehovah’s organization could such a thing happen!
And later he says:
… some of us took this to mean that the Organization had a surplus of funds and thus took this action, as if the loans did not need to be reimbursed. Could this misconception have affected the amount that some have chosen to donate each month?
So… the loans were cancelled (wiped off the books, paid off.) Once they were cancelled, they are non-existent. When I pay off a car loan, the debt is cancelled. It no longer exists. It is gone. I don’t have to keep sending the bank "whatever I can afford."
But after saying they were cancelled, Stevie says that they still exist… and they need to be reimbursed.
So they weren’t cancelled at all. What happened was: the wt changed the terms of the loans. They no longer tell the congregations what their balance is, and the congregation no longer has a way to pay the loan off. They will just pay and pay and pay.
